  • outside door handles

I have a mercury tracer laying around and last time I had a festiva, I remember a lot of parts would switch over. Will the door handles swap over? I have a broken drivers side and would prefer to use free parts.

its just two 10mm nuts on the inside and a plastic clip that holds the actuator rod - but be careful when you disconnect this becasue they break easy.

stripped the door parts from the tracer tonight and will be tring them in the festiva tomorrow, if they go I will post some pics...

One neat thing was there is a bracket behind the driver side door handle that has an activation switch mounted to it, so I can either hook that into a relay for the dome light or an alarm trip... so did the door kei, but I didnt bother to grab that.

Are the spindles front & rear swappable also? What are they compared to?

          EDIT:
According to a few searches, the tie rod ends are the same as the Festiva 88-93, CAPRI 94-91, and TRACER 89-87,

SO it looks like I am gonna look into grabbing the suspension too.

The tracer handles are chrome inside and out... I don't have answers about fitment yet, Festiva had to stay over night at the inspection place, his testing equipment failed. I will post up once I get it home.

inside ones are a perfect fit, just like the map light, but no love on the outside door handle, not even close to making them work without some body work.
