yes I hear lots of guys putting their lights in the oven to get the adhesive to become plyable enough to pull the light apart. I havent tried it for two reasons. One, the wife need I say more, and two the oven is for food in my mind. I dont plan on eating taillights anytime soon.Originally posted by lanemeyer14 View PostI took one apart by baking it in the oven to heat the glue
Man should eat when he can for Man does not know when his last meal will be.

I did this with my BMW e30 i had. Although i did it on the low beam of the headlights. Pop the whole assembly in your oven. Shut the door and preheat to 350°F. Wait a little while after the preheated indicator comes on to let the part reach full temperature. Once you think it is up to temp go ahead and remove it with some gloves. Set it on a table and carefully start to push a wide flathead screwdriver between the lense and housing. Try several spots until you find a good one and start to pry up on it. Don't twist the screwdriver as you pry! This will put greatly more focused stress on the glass and can cause it to crack. Go slow and pry gently. It will lift up and come free if you are patient and careful.Originally posted by lanemeyer14 View PostI took one apart by baking it in the oven to heat the glue
Also IMO i think the smoke/tint job would look alot better if it was done to the inside of the lense. Here someone did it to their e30, http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=154454 it would be the same basic principle on these festivas. But no cutting would be done96 Pontiac Firehawk # 48.. 383 stroker

It was only available in England on a 98 Kia Pride model called the "Shout". I had to buy a whole car on Ebay an have the seller send me the Spoiler and skirts. I let him keep the car for his troubles to resell. I looked for a 1 1/2 yrs before i was able to get someone that had the parts and was willing to ship them overseas.Originally posted by 92festie View Postreally?? whys that??
