  • PT Cruiser dash

Has anyone tried to install a complete dash from another vehicle? I was at the junk yard the other day and eyeballed a PT cruiser dash. It may have slightly more curve to it at the windshield, but is almost on the money on the width.
I took measurements of the Festiva dash. I will check the other two PT cruisers for their dimensions and let you know.

It would be an interesting one, but chances are none of the voltages would be the same so splicing wouldn't make them work. You can add a vss to your cable but i bet the ecu tells the speedo to work, not a straight signal off a vss.

I would stand behind a 2.4T swap with the dash however
          1993 GL 5 speed

It's a MazdaFordnKia thing, and you will understand!

              mini cooper dash

Do you think the Cooper dash is ugly?

I am planning on black carpet and black door fabric to match my black Tiburon leather seats.

Speaking of Tiburons, how about a Tiburon dash?

Maybe I'll just measure up the PT cruiser dash.

I'd do either of the other two.

I've been reading your posts. You REALLY need to post some pics of your car!

The only dash i've ever considered swapping is the 88-89 323 dash, that looks to be a dam close bolt in

                  1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                  1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

The Mini dash needs to stay in a Mini, the Tiburon and Pt dash would probably be alright.

At least that mini dash does - I would like to see an older mini dash swaped I think that would look sharp

                              measured

I measured the width of the PT cruiser dash today from A- pillar to A-pillar, and found it to be exactly the same as the Festiva. The problem will be with the window curvature. I will have to make a template to determine if I should buy it or not.
I did win a full set of Mini Cooper visors off of the bay, yesterday. Lighted even. I hope they fit. If not, I will just relist them. I think they are the only ones that are small enough not to hit the mirror.
