  • Best Place to tap into for Aftermarket Gauge Lights?

The title pretty much covers it. Where is a good place to tap into so the gauges I have light up when I turn on the park/headlights?

Ohh, nice one. Most aftermarket radios don't even use that anyway, thanks.

i pulled the dimmer switch and used my test probe to see which of the wires was hot, i wanted to be able to dim my lights with the dash lights, well for what ever reason my gauges have lights when dimmer is off and when dimmer is on no lights, and the dimmer is not doing what i wanted its not regulating voltage to the lights, im not sure how the dimmer works, it almost seemed like it was reversing the polarity

I grounded mine on the power mirror wires under the dash since I dont have power mirrors. And as for my lights working while my dimmer is on, They dont dim. All I have installed is a tach, and I can turn the dimmer all the way/down and the tach stays the same.

I went ahead and did it the way FastivaB6TG5MR did it. The gauge lights are all the way bright on mine and I still consider them too dark.

I bought a strip of led lights for my dash off eBay for like 99 cents, they're extremely bright! Even on low on my dimmer, its really bright
