Okay so I got my new wiper switch from ericsmith32. However, I ahve been reading before I tear into my car. From what I have read, Iguess I have to make a jumper for this white switch to work? I did use the search feature everyone, but I am not 100% clear as to what to do to get it off and then install. Someone please help!

If it's the right switch it should plug right in. Unless there's something I'm missing"Lane, I've been going to this high school for seven and a half years. I'm no dummy."

I've used an MX6 one before. I never had to use any jumper wires on it. I had it in a '93, then a '91, then an '88, and now its in another '93. No problems on the installs on any car, it worked on all of them.No festiva for me ATM...

Okay so when its not all bolted in, I can get all the settings to work (at least I think so). But I try to put it in place and screw it in, it gets really tight and the washer fluid sprays the whole time no matter what. Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to switch over anything from the stock switch?
And also, the switch seems very close to the steering wheel, why?

If it's still close to the steering wheel, you should get a later model wheel or bend the turn signal arm(s) to your liking. Early (1988-'89) and later (1990-'93) Festivas used differently dished steering wheels. Later ones were deeper dished to work better with the auto seatbelts or something like that.
My RX-7 and 1988 Mercury Tracer steering wheels need early style turn signal stalks so I'm not constantly fingering the signals as I turn the wheel.
Karl'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
'91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
'93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project
