Okay, I've come to the conclusion that $80 for a freaking sealed battery box is ridiculous. Anyone have any ideas about a good sealed battery box? I don't care if it's NHRA legal or not, I just care about hydrogen not entering the inside of my car. I'm thinking of using an old military ammo box because they are sealed, just drilling holes for the cables and tube and sealing it back up. What do you guys think?

I think that's dangerous to have a sealed box, no? Especially when you have a pressurized container filled with a flammable gas?
I might be exaggerating... I don't think I've seen them for sale though; not fully sealed ones at least.-Zack

I had a factory size standard festy batt in my plastic box for over a year before I got the optima. I never could smell the batt or anything. Unless u have a crappy old corroded batt that leaks acid then I honestly wouldint worry about the fumes.

Now, explosions are cool and all, but not when it's inside a car. Especially when there's someone inside said car.
