use 4300 or 5000k, so you don't get pulled over for having ornamental lights as headlights.... besides, they'll put out a white light instead of BLUE.

You're the type of person that I want to run off the road when I see you coming towards me.

        Couple suggestions:
        1. Install/retrofit your HID's in a proper projector housing. Having your HID bulbs installed into a normal halogen housing puts light EVERYWHERE. Typically that means worse than a standard halogen bulb AND you're shining your 10k bulb eveywhere, blinding everyone coming towards you.
        2. 10k light puts out less light than a 4300 or 5000 HID bulb... All you get is blue light. How's that look in the rain?

Here's the set on my WRX:

Do me a favor.... Post a similar picture to the one I just posted... 25' from the wall, straight on. And let's see the difference.

my headlights are pointed at the ground and i have had nobody flash their brights at me. they are a 100 watt so they are white not blue, and the law in oregon is verry verry hard for police to inforce bc the have to measure the beams and its near impossible for them to do so they dont bother with it, if the lights are blue u will get a ticket bc that color is reserved for emegency vehicles.

If you remove the eyelids, you'll only have to trim the grille if you want to keep it, cut the light housing to allow for the turn signal, and shave the lip of the bumper to avoid mounting the lights so that they touch the hood. The other part of the mod is actually to use perforated metal sheeting to complete the look (preferably powdercoated black). For the spot below the corner running lights, a bit of body filler does the trick. For those who don't want to do all the cutting, there is another, smaller version of this light minus the turn signal, as came in the 98 Ranger. Observe:

These lights can be bought with and without the turn signals.

What good are headlights that are aimed directly at the ground?

Looking forward to seeing the pictures when you get it... Camera phone quality will be fine.

Here are a couple of vids of my headlights....(just click)..

they are normal lows and HID high beams...opposite every other kind I have seen. So no blinding people when they are coming towards you...unless you are a tool and leave your high beams on...

The grille is modified on mine. I didn't do the corners because: A. I'm cheap. B. the lights I bought on craigslist did not come with them. I made em work with the stock festy corners. I paid 30 dollars for em anyway. My OE housings were SHOT. Someone sprayed em white. I could care less if the lines are slightly off. I don't pay that much attention to em.

Every time I see cars rolling around with HID lights in non HID housings makes me want to A. Light em up with the 400 watts of light on the rover and B. run em off the road.

The mounting of the lights are rather intuitive touch. the wiring is rather straight foward for the headlights. The Signals bulbs should speak for theirselves. If I *had* to I could go make diagrams and measurments but alas I loosely measured everything and installed em in around 3 hours.

I sold the GL to a family member so yeah, I basically still own it. Well. When I have the GL they get the range rover and vice versa.
