I did. It sounds like you are ordering a set for yourself? If so, awesome! But I think Enemy_ was asking about the group-buy mentioned in the thread.

Okay, I think tomorrow or Monday I'll email him to ask the following:

-how many sets he can make at once to ship to us
-what shipping size would make the most sense (cost, sturdy boxes available, etc.)
-how insurance would go (I think insurance would be prudent)
-what the current set price would be on the best shipment size for a total set price

Then if it's okay with ya'll I'll make the arrangements. If the shipment will be small (say, three or four sets) I may pay with my VISA and have them shipped to me. Then ya'll can send me the money for your sets. If it will be a larger order, then we'll see.

      Questions:

      -Does the UK have Paypal?

If so, maybe each of us could send our share of the shipped/insured price and then I'd serve to simply crack open the box and get them on the last leg of their journey.

-Would it be cheaper to ship from the UK to an east coast city, then one of us ship to folks in the US and Canada?

      Anyone know?

I'm open to ideas, or to have someone else handle all this instead of me. But I'd like to see this happen. AquaMutt wants some flares.

I was going to, but from what he said the interest was high enough for him to join our forum to make things easier for him to sell. I assume this means long term, open communications.

                Hi Dustin

Very good to hear form you and thanks for the interest in the arches.

Apologies for the delay in returning your email, It's end of school term here so I have two great sons to look after! ;o)

Yes, those are my arches and I remember the guy (can't remember the name) wanting a set for his festiva.

I make them all to order, shipping to the States is about £20 (approx $33) current rate.

At the moment I'm working on a 7-10 day turnaround (due to school holiday) and shipping is about 7 days economy airmail.

Paypal is the usual payment method too.

Hope this helps, I'll try to get onto the forum I think I have to register from what I remember too! ;o)

                Best Wishes

                I too, emailed this guy...
....I got the EXACT reply from him...I mean ..word for word, exactly.
That makes me suspious if this on the level, especially since he has not replied back to me with the total shipped price I asked for. I would buy them right now

Yup, sounds more like some kind of scam to me. If he wanted to sell these, we would have heard something more by now. Been about 2 weeks waiting for me too

perhaps he is shopping around on material prices? Lots of things going on this time of year too, I'm sure he gets emails every day about making flares and has to have a mass response waiting in lieu.
