Welcome 2ruble and no i'm not close. Good luck with your car.
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

That's awesome! I'm going to get the 5 speed out of the JY car this weekend, and do the cluster swap, new axles, and that tune up... and I should be good to go... I'll check the schedule and talk to the wife and see what she thinks! I love SC (am also a bmw guy... don't know how y'all feel about us, lol) and we haven't stayed in a cabin in a year!

Thanks again for that invite, and I'll definitely get back to you! How many people usually turn out to something like that? (before looking at the link)

2ruble, friendly reminder about the trans swap: you will need the crossmember, mounts, linkage, axles, flywheel, dust plate, starter, pedal assembly, cable and the starter harness to splice in so you have reverse lights. basicly anything that touches the trans in any way....
it's not a hard swap, but there's quite a few parts needed to do it.
              Trees aren't kind to me...

              currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

25-30. It's small. We stay at a good KOA, but excellent hotels are also close by. And kartracer46 honors the German ride as well (he has some beauties!) so you'll be in good company.

we've got the starter, and pedals are going to come out this weekend with the trans. Axles... well, axles are done so I was getting new ones anyway, we were going to check clutch and flywheel out to see if that needs replacing...

on the crossmember... didn't know I was going to need the crossmember... I really can't use mine? and starter harness, etc.?

You can't use your crossmember without modifying it for linkage clearance and mounts (PITA). you CAN use your harness, but you'll have to mod it to make it work... swapping in the correct one will be much easier.

2Ruble, how are your woodcutting skills?

Actually, I believe Ernst sells new cargo covers.
