I'm considering getting a set of leathers from a Merkur XR4ti for my Festiva. Has anyone attempted this swap? I'm still awaiting measurements via email, hoping they're not too wide.

Tell me that the XR4ti is in un-fixable shape... Too sweet of a car to strip, if it can be saved!

^^he didn't say he owned a merkur, just looking into a set from one
A friend of mine has a merkur and I think the seats would be a little too wide for a festiva

You can make them fit. Look how I mounted my Tib seats which are the same size. I fabricated the mounts so that they will just bolt into any Festiva.
If you need any rivets for your seat mounts, I have a few extra left over that I can sell you. I guarantee that your seat won't move anywhere once you clinch these puppies in place.
