would be interesting to see this done as there are plenty of Montana vans in yards.
would you be using the rear seat also?

Good question!!!! I do not know. I will have to check for that! But as stated in an earlier post, anything can be made to fit!
I would imagine if a seat doesnt go all the way back, there is a "stop" on the seat, or an interference point somewhere, and can be modded to lay down.

I think you can add much larger seats than you think to the Festiva because the car is so unsafe there's a lot more room I would say midsize cars offers seats that works just fine but of course do the measurements

That's so awesome. I really hope they fit and can't wait to see them installed

I had split 60/40 front seats out of a 76 Lincoln Continental in my 78 Bronco. It had the fold down arm rests and all too. My gawd they were so comfortable and a life saver on long road trips.

I will check on that when I go back to the yard. Hopefully one day this week. I want to do some measuring, and who knows, I might start pulling them!

1 inch wider in the seat area than the festy seat. Got 2 inches between festy seat and door now. Should fit.

I didnt use a tape. I used a piece of string.

Any seat can be made to fit in any car; providing that you are willing to devote a lot of time to this. If you have to slam the door just to compress the seat-side cushions enough to carry on with your day you know you're attempting to put 'big boy' upholstery into a mini car. Freebie seats are enticing (I do know that feeling, and very well!) but a simple and sobering measuring tape will tell you whether you're flogging a dead horse or not.

...and those headrests! When I said pivot, I prolly should have said ...tilting headrest.
They push forward for a true HEAD rest! Friction held in place, and can be pushed right where ya want 'em!
They only push back far enough to not interfere with your head and still maintain anti-whiplash protection.

No clue, but I would just use the seat and not the Montana base, so I would suspect pretty much the same, maybe 1-2 lbs more at most.
Pretty close to the size of the festy seat.
I would put the Montana seats in front by cutting the Montana base off, and welding brackets meet to up with the festy rails
I have $53 and change credit with p&p, so that will cover most of the cost of the seats.
I might look around more, but armrests while hiway driving would be sweet.

started a topic Pontaic Montana seats

    Pontaic Montana seats

I was walking around a P&P yard and I spotted some cool looking seats that I would like to put in the Festy!
They were in a Pontiac Montana. They are Captain chairs that have the folding armrests on each side. Smallest of this type I have seen.
Gray cloth with removable and PIVOTING headrests !
The ones I am interested in are the 2nd row seats. Exactly like the front electric seats, but are manual.
They 1 inch wider in the seat area, but the rails are 2 inches narrower.
The armrests are recessed somewhat so they dont stick out like most armrests on Captain chair's.
Only pic I could find of them. Not same color as the ones I saw. Were closer to the Festy cloth seat pattern.

    Same seats in pleather/leather
