I did some bumper work tonight to improve airflow.

This 1st 2 pics show the reason I can't fit in a larger radiator with more frontal area

So I cut a hole in the bumper support to get more air in

If that don't work, just get a really big radiator and mount it in place of the hood! That would be a first!

matt i think what is happening to you is normal man.. i went down to white plains today to pick up my brother from the air port. crusin at about 80-115 mph my temp would stay in the middle then creep up to about 3/4 then go back down. thats with the huge 924 radiator too so idk man!

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

So are you running water wetter? Second what is you coolant to water mix? what is you thermostat rating?

I cant get my car to run over 140 its kinda sad at night you freeze!

            Thanks

water, water wetter and about 10% or less antifreeze. The thermostat is a 192° failsafe.

My BP car runs cold with the single core festiva radiator. On the highway the needle is half that of the BPT and the fan only comes on after sitting for a long time then cycles off after 30-60 seconds or so.

I need more frontal area, bottom line.

The vent I put thru the bumper has helped. The best mod so far.
