I was tempted by some protege seats at a JY, They were 2 tone light and dark gray. Woulda looked good in the Festy!

You got a welder? Any seat around the same size as a Festy will fit!

I own some black miata seats, but they are currently stacked on top of my mustang. I may do the solid rivets and do a "not all 4 holes" fit in a week or so. Can a 110v welder do the job to make some quick ugly brackets? Id rather pay 120 bucks at harbor freight than the same money to a guy and not own the tool for another job.

should beable to that's how I see things to why pay for labor just buy the tool and do the job yourself

Yes, always the solid philosophy. Technical question: Are the oem feet bracketry and rails under 3/16" for example? A HF ad says the welder can work with up to 3/16" mild, low carbon, but no stainless and so on. I can always zap it and pay someone a second time so they dont have to do the measuring but id like to just do it. Also coming from a guy who's driven around for 15k miles in a s-10 with honda seat held in with one bolt but besides the point...

                      Hey Dan,
Were those seats hard to get in? Did you keep the Hyundai rails?

ok so i pulled my passenger seat and tried removing the bracket from the seat so i can fab it to fit my suzuki swift gt seats. i had very little progress didn't want to break anything, so decided to ask if there is an ideal way to make your own sliders and seat brackets. can i buy some that are prefabbed? link to thread would be helpful.

to take the seat brackets off all you do is drill the rivet out and take a cut off wheel and cut through the weld that's around it. real simple just did mine last Saturday now got 2003 protégé 5 seats in my car. night and day difference
