I have a Miata that I made ABS door cards for and did the same for the Festiva.
For Festiva it came out to about $30 for enough material to cover both doors.
I get all my ABS from Tap Plastics as they're only a few blocks from my home. Pretty sure they only have stores in CA though (www.tapplastics.com)
Depending on thickness its pretty easy to work with. I use metal shears to make the cuts, comes out pretty straight. Hole saw for circles. I try to measure precisely so that all of the straight sides are cut by the shop.

What's also nice about these materials is that its easy to mold and make things out with. You can make a MDF/plywood box that is roughly 12"x12"x6" drill a whole in a 6" side that would fit the end of a vacuum and on the topside draw grids that are 1" x 1" and drill a small whole at the intersection, making a vacuum form box of your own. Buy a used toaster oven and make a jig with wing nuts on the corners to house the plastic once heated. I will try to find a picture and post it of a vacuum form box, I made tweeter pods and intake tubes with mine.

This is a rather thin box, I made mine taller so the frame/jig could go over the box easier, also I didn't use tape? Who uses tape? I counter sunk and used wood screws along with caulking inside and I made a 2" hole for the vacuum hose to go into on one of the sides by drawing an X from the corners to find center.

Also if you drill a hole in the middle of your templet piece it's easier to remove by reversing the flow of the vacuum (exhaust) or using an air gun to blow the part out with.
