Unbelievable! So who reported this to Ford?

I just received this email:


Hi Jesse,



We were just notified by Ford, that the Festiva logo is not covered under our licence agreement. I’m sorry, but at this time, we are not able to produce these knobs.

Frustration... Ideas anyone?

I responded asking if there are other options but they are now closed until tomorrow.
So I guess I'll have to refund everyone money.

Are you saying that we could just order the plain knob, burn in the Festiva logo, and then do the inlay and polishing?
Would the Ford lawyers try put us in jail for that?

I agree it's crap, I've been working on this for over a month.

Ok.. I will get the best discount I can on the standard knobs for those who want to do that. And I will do a refund
to those who want one. I may be able to do partial refund if I can get the stock knobs cheaper.
So anyone who has not responded, please do a post in the thread or send me a PM telling me what you want to do.

I machined my shift knob out of a piece of bar stock on a manual hardinge lathe I'm sure you could have a local machine shop help make them
