I'm not a fan of the GTX look, or fiberglass body parts. They don't hold up well to hard driving. I scoured salvage yards for 5 years in search of the 2 charade bumpers that I found and they were both old used parts with some scratches and oxidation. 600ish for a new bumper would have been a steal.

I sold the car, but I can ask the new owner to do that. I just cut the bumper support mounts off the Charade bumper reinforcement bar, and off the Festiva bar and I welded the Festiva mounts to the Charade bumper bar. I then had to trim the sheet metal on the Festiva (where the horns mount) and shave the bumper a but where it hugs the fenders. It seemed like a lot of work at the time, but that bumper has been on there for 6 years now, and it's seen a lot of hard and exciting miles, so it was worth it.

Anyone ever try fitting the Charade "rear" bumper? Looks more tucked and less bulky compared to the Festiva. Though I think I'm going to revive the old Festiva "bobtail mod" thread to get that flush look on the rear bumper that I'm after.

Side note: I've seen the Isuzu Stylus front bumper put on a festiva if you like that look. And the hard to find Stylus just entered the pick n pull yard in Tacoma. I'm just going to keep my original front bumper on mine.

I totally agree, I hate fiberglass parts because they take so much work at make them nice.
And around here I would rip the gtx bumper off on the dirt roads I travel.
They do look good tho. I just don't really get the charade bumper, looks like it flows better but looks close to stock and takes mods to fit and up here cooling isn't and issue .
Heck I run a grill blosk 6 months out of the year.

I was more attracted to it because that center vent blows directly on the turbo. I like to keep air blowing over turbochargers whenever I can, especially on cars that are heavily tracked. This bumper does that perfectly, and is lower profile than the stock bumper, and way lighter and gives the “RS" look that I was going for. My stock bumper was damaged, and I found that first charade bumper cover while looking for Festiva parts. After fitting it to the car, I always searched for more in case I wrecked that one. After years of getting used to it, the charade bumper is my favorite. Unfortunately, they are getting really hard to find.
