I haven't tried it but have seen a new product called plasti-dip. It basically covers the whole wheel in a coat. After dried it takes almost a electrical tape consistency to the wheel. You can peel it off of if u don't like it. YouTube plasti dip wheels. It's a fairly new product way newer than this thread. Lol

If you mean this stuff, allow me to save you the trouble.
I used it on my Focus' grille and hated it. It did not cover uniformly and basically looks like shite. I followed the prep and instructions to the letter and one month later it was chipping already. For the money, you would think it would work better, that kit is not cheap!

        Just sayin.

I've plasti diped two sets of wheels. I would recommend it especially if your rims are corroded or pitted as it will fill in the low spots and give a nice smooth finish. Just clean the rims before you spray it and put on a couple coats, it will look very close to powder coat when it dries. You just have to be careful when you clean it because you can accidentally start peeling it off.

Thank you Rectiliner, I'll just do it my old school way, scuff, prime, paint and clear. That kit is expensive.
