4 actually works really well with the steel rims (at lest in the pics) but I gotta go with 1. I,d like to see what a OEM color steel 13 inch would look like with the chrome rings and center plug. It would look like a rare option.Going old school...

I much prefer #1 for the "honest" look it gives and for the least weight penalty. Anything you add to your wheels is unsprung, rotational weight and will adversely penalize performance and handling. Plus I just prefer the looks of the trim rings and center caps with those black wheels.
As for the wheel covers, use the one that weighs the least if you go that way.
I just don't like "plastic wheel covers" that try to mimic alloys. Not "honest." Had those on my '85 Civic "S." One salesman thought they were real alloys. Hmmph.
The only wheel covers I might like would be plain and smooth and very lightweight, to reduce wind drag.

My pref, in order... 1, 2, 4, 3. In a delicious touch of irony, I agree with Karl about plastic wheel covers, even though my car proudly struts them! HA! So I've justified my $30 blingin' genuine simulated chrome plastic pseudo-alloys this way... "they're an interim step to REAL wheels"! LOL, ahem and koff-koff!

Wow, 26 of 28 votes are for # 1, the trim rings and center caps. About 93% !! Natually thats the most expensive route. Thanks everyone for your opinions. Kind of wished I painted the rims gun metal grey now. The glossy black will look good on the white cars anyway. I like the # 2 caps the best, I thought they looked like the five spoke KIA pride wheels.sigpic
