I'm not good on tire widths... All I know is that from experience, 195/45 didn't rub.

ops: This may sound like a silly question, but what's an offset and how does it affect how the wheel fits on the car?

I'm not looking into any huge tire/wheel increase. I just have a couple of my 12 X 4 that are rusty, repetitive slow-leaks...

Thinking of getting wheels from a scrapyard, from a festy or another car (geo metro). The selection of the GM wheels may be better than the fest, but I don't know what the offset is and how it will affect the car: wider or narrower wheel base.

ps If I have offended the Ford Festiva gods by mentioning the Geo Metro, please have mercy on me!

I had a geo metro, and loved it. wish I still had one. Actually, I still have a geo metro motor in my garage!

I would really love to see some pics of a 195/45 15 mounted to see the clearance.
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

                Ask and ye' shall receive.

195/45/15 toyo t1's 15x6.5 40mm offset, rolled fenders. sitting pretty tall in these pics, it's about 1/12 inch lower now. I have coilovers, but I believe they would fit w/stock struts.

Here are a pic of 195/45/15 on mooks festiva.
