I didn't think the front and rear springs were the same diameter.

    Guess I wasn't paying attention!

I may try that some day. I don't think it would be appropriate for Lux though. "Cargostiva" yeah. (That's Mutt's other name.)

Lux's weak, worn front springs might be perfect for "HD" rears. Uncut, because I think they're really fatigued.

I just went back to look at my old post about Mutt's suspension swap. It was in the Archive's "Susp/Brakes/Wheels" forum and the date of my post was 11/26/'02. It was my second post ever!

I posted that I cut only ONE COIL from my Aspire springs all around.

When I do my current Aspire-struts-in-waiting (probably tomorrow) I'll get them cut only one coil and see how that works. Lux is heavier than the Mutt, especially in front.

One coil cut off good Aspire springs should do for stock ride height.

As soon as I actually try them on, I'll post my results. It probably won't be until next week around Wednesday.

the 205/60s were made for a 5.5" wheel, oddly enough. Typically, before I buy a tire, I'll check the manufacturers specs for the tire. This can usually be found online, and always includes a rim-width range, and typically an ideal rim width recommendation. For the Sumitomos and the Falkens, the ideal rim width is 5.5" according to the manufacturer.

they're not the exact same diameter, but very close (3/16"). I'm going to experiment with Fester a bit and see what happens.
