ya i know that... but is it longer from the bolt that gose in to the frame of the car to the ball joint of the hub? also cause its from a diffrent car it COULD have diffrent mounting points.... it may fit, but the arm may sit in a weird place cause the mounting spots in the 323 where diffrent from the festiva, and it may put the hub forward or back in the wheel well, and that would also change your caster of your suspension...

it seemed just as long as the festiva control arm, the guy who did it didnt do a side by side picture, the weels look like there in the same spot, even though the wheel wells are cut its still appears to be centered

I don't race my Festy but I agree the slop in the suspension is part of the problem, but have you tried toeing out the alignment? When the engine torques the halfshafts, the front edges of the tires are going to turn inwards more than everyday driving. Also, there is camber to consider. The front of the car is going to lift up, thus changing the wheel camber. I would try a little toe-out & a little negative camber.

          That's my 2-cents worth.

I don't think that is what is keeping us out of the 11's....i'd break a tranny past 60 ft everytime......those damn diffs are the weak point.
            what i would do for a 1.9 60 ft.....
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

i got to thinking on traction bar ideas... heres what i brainstormed... bare with my horrible drawings... it seemed simplest and with the least amount of fabrication... you might even be able to get away with bolting the car side bracket to the frame rail...

I grabbed a bg control arm last week. Its about a inch longer than a festiva one.
Ill try to remember to crawl under one of my bfs this weekend and measure it.

Big nasty slicks would do alot for a festiva IMO. Problem is fitting those under the front.

                      I did a 1.48 60' in my mustang (4 cyl.) last friday. All on a M/T ET drag. 26.0/8.5/15

something that may give you a slight insight as to what needs to be corrected watch in this video, during the pull, as they let off watch closely to the wheel in relation to the fender. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogHfsnnt2cc hope this little bit helps.

I like seeing the ideas in this thread. This is imo the biggest problem with Festivas. It's much easier to steal a solution than to come up with my own. hahaha

Finally crawled under my hatch and measured. The bf control arm is longer too. It looks like itll place the hub about a inch further out and slightly forward.
