I found the following today when my wheels came in.

    Stock 12" Festiva steel wheel with 155/80/12 = 21lbs
Enkei 14" EK90s = 15.5lbs (sadly, since I already had "heavy" capris collecting dust)
    Capri 14" Alloy = 15.5lbs
Spare 14" Steel for comp = 15lbs (grrrr)

All weighing was done with a bathroom scale which I checked for accuracy by using the weight on the UPS label, and it was right on. Obviously it's not perfect, but close enough to show I could have better spent the money elsewhere, but live and learn.

By pure theoretical math, I predict around +4.75lbs over stock per wheel/tire combo when switching to 15.5lbs 14"s.

Well, this stinks. They are in fact, 4x108 instead of 114.3. Waaaahhh. Heavy and the wrong pattern. Anybody want a good deal on an oddball size wheel set?

^ wait, the ones you bought on ebay are 4x108? If it's within like 30 days or something like that, I think you can get them for saying its the wrong pattern.

I already let the guy know. He was very nice about it and made it right the same day. Hopefully someone else will get a good deal and can use them, and I'll break even.

At least you didn't go through having a shop put tires on them, balance them and everything, and then you find out they are wrong. Oh, btw, if you were interested, in minneapolis craigslist, there is a set of 4x100-4x108 adapters if you were ever to go aspire swap and wanted to run these wheels.

Are you running something different since lowering the car? Those wheels look great as is.

i painted my ford escort 7 spoke wheels today and had my 185/60-14falken ziex 902's mounted this afternoon. tires look good on the graphite grey wheels. sadly i can't put them on the car as i am waiting for a couple parts to finish the aspire brake swap.
