Are You Running 195/45/15?

12 and 13 are becoming difficult to find and 14S are too expensive. Thanks

Running 195/60-15 for the winter then ill be back to 195/50's...

195/50/15's fit fine and are alot cheaper and eaiser to find than 195/45/15's...

I got a set of 15's with 195/50-15 tires you can run on your car and see how you like them
Stock engine shouldnt be bad, Just with my BP and bad struts I didnt like them.
On tire rack they are as cheap as 12" tires.

Ive found 195/45 Nexen tires in the $50-$60 range which is close and id like to keep my speedo as acurate as possible. Im assuming if you guys are running the 50 series your not having any brake problems.

I ran 45's for about a year. No real difference in the tires I was on stock suspension. Now I'm on fms with 50 series and it rubs inner fender well on hard turns.

I ran 195/45-15 on 15x6.5 wheels with +38mm offset and didn't do any mods to car, no spacers of any kind, and they NEVER rubbed in any condition. I will try to find a pic and post it for ya. The best part about them is they are super near total stock diameter so your speedo will not hardly change.

Since the Proxes 195/45-14s are just about ideal, and the 15s are the same size plus one half inch radius, you're looking at about 12mm taller than stock. This is on paper, of course, and it might not be an exact figure. But it's a smaller diameter than running 175/70-13s or 185/60-14s.

I think the main worry on 195/45-15s would be the wheel width and offset. If it's too extreme either way, you'll need mods to fit it.

195/45-14 is nearly exactly the same size under stock as a 195/45-15 is over stock. Super small amount. 6.5" width with +38mm offset fits perfectly. Really, I've done it.

But like Safetyguy said go any wider or change offset any and you will be toast.

My car ran for almost a solid year and there were absolutely no rub marks on the tires or the car. a 195/50-15 is only 4 7/8mm taller on each side or approx 1/8" on each side.

In john's(sedat's) thread for his car, If you take the front springs off your car and put them on your rear you gain right at a inch and 1/4 (cant exactly remember)
but we placed the tire next to the car and I bounced on the bumper and it was high enough not to rub/scrape.

With the fronts, swapping to aspire/kia rio springs(keep your struts) the front will be lifted enough to have no problems.

Stock springs can be run in the front with no spacers(hard dips rub) but rolling the (lip) of your fender will solve that....

In the rear stock springs can be run too with the spacers I have(will need the longer studs) and again, hard dips cause a lil rubbing, but rolling just the lip of the fender.
