I know absolutely nothing about said Federal tires, but have read some good reviews about the Sumitomo's. Unfortunately, short of that, I have nothing to offer. 185/60-13 is pretty close to OEM dimensions for speedometer purposes, right? I love having 185mm tires on my Festiva, personally.

I just got the federal SS 595 185/55/14

So far so good ! Great aggressive tread. Probably won't last long with the 260 Treadwear and my B6T !! Lol

Ian, out of those three I'd go with the more "known quantity/quality" Sumis.

However, although the 185/60 is nice, I still think the 175/60 is a better fit on your 5" wide wheels and would be better for long trips like you are about to take.

Can't comment on the Federal quality.

        MeNTAL, those do look nice!
