you mean on the pm's? If so, that happens from time to time. It passes. We are working on the issue. (slowly)

Yes, I am shooting for 3", maybe more with cv and ball joint mods later.Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

The space problem is the struts, The golf struts with the coilover kit should give me enough room. Rather than control arm inner mount drops I would probably build new control arms, for clearance.
So how about Flexstiva, i think it sounds good and flex refers to the offroading aspectReflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

If it does I can rotate the rear mount down a little. I haven't looked into Porsche or offroad cv shafts but there might be some possibilities there.
I keep rethinking the coilover spring... front, 650 lbs and 4 inches of compression
( 3 loading the strut and one more when the car sits on it) .96 mechanical advantage factor. The nearest higher spring rate is 175 lb, that is pretty high compared to estimates of what stock is from our site.
The rear at 450 lbs , same preload and compression, same .96 factor works out to 110 lbs, but often I have the trailer, 115 lbs ?? I want to get this order off tomorrow..Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

Spring rates deffinately aren't my specialty, have you considered doing a slightly lower spring rate in the rear and then adding air shocks or helper bags. Then you'll have better flex/ride empty and be able to haul a trailer.
Of course it's front wheel drive so who cares how the back flexs, just drag it lol. So i think i would go for the best riding spring that works best for towing. Might be able to save a few dollars on the back springs and just lower the spring pocket/strut tower, or use a spacer.

I just ordered 125 lb instead of the 175 lb
and rear I got 80 lb instead of 110 lb
It should still be a good lift, the springs
will be compressed 3 inches to mount and the
car will compress 2 1/2 inches more. With the coil over
I can always go up 3 inches or down another inch.
Parts will be here Monday.Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

SKID PLATE!
I had a Festiva set up for rally. It had a 1/4" plate of aluminum that went from a bar between the tow hooks back to about the front of the cat. Protected the oil pan, trans, downpipe.
(It had some long coilovers, they did fine, something like 250 lb/in in the front and 150 in the back. Just had some tall 13" rally tires. Ground clearance wasn't really an issue with the skidplate. It did well in Colorado one summer, but really lacked power/gearing at altitude to do steep climbs. There's probably pics in some archive somewhere.)
Here it is a few owners before me: http://www.comicozzie.com/gallery2/v...96-03.jpg.htmlLast edited by tderonne; 12-28-2011, 12:44 AM.
