When, it compresses the drive pushes on the hub, pushing the the seal and bearing off the hub. This is just a theory. I'm going to look at it more tomorrow.

    I also haven't found anyone else on here that runs UNCUT aspire spring(or relative equivalent) and aspire hub/brakes. Of course, I really don't follow the community as well as I should, so it doesn't mean someone isn't out there.

    If this is happening you have left parts out..missing !
    What is on the shaft is torqued tight, cannot move, contrary to what you
    suggest above. The shim or spacer will adjust the preload on the roller
    bearing part...but it has to be measured correctly to get preload. Preload
    can be verified by measuring the total rotating torque.

    If you have shaft movement in and out of the knuckle itself your adjustment
    is incredibly far off, like something left out.
