  • Ordering New Wheel Shanks/Center Bore

I need to add a spacer to my rear wheels for clearance. I was thinking of just order new shanks instead of converting to studs/lugs.

If I do, would these do the trick? http://tinyurl.com/c3nhtxz

I measured stock shanks to be about 20 mm. Therefore, if I am going to use a 5-10 mm slip on spacer, these would be more than adequate. Makes sense right?

I also wanted to confirm that the wheel center bore was 54.1 mm. I've found a few different sizes while searching.

Yeah, those should be enough. You need to get at least enough threads to have a couple sticking out the backside of the drum face (inside the wheel hub).

One way to test this would be to remove the drum, then install the spacer and put the wheel over it, and tighten a lug bolt to see how much sticks out the back. The stock bolts may be enough even with 5mm spacers. If you get even 1 or 2 threads all the way through, that's enough.
