These are made for a mazda 2.. Could fit.. Hard to say without knowing exactly the fit of the caliper, bracket to be fit onto the rear hub spindle or spacing between hub and rim.

I just has such an awful experience yesterday putting new brake shoes on my car. When the opportunity presents itself to get a whole new rear end(because the bottom of the struts [which are basically blown garbage] are essentially welded in because the bolts were rusted out, I am going to do this upgrade. Drums are not my friend.

    Yep.

Stock spindle bolts are getting towards the edge of threads but work fine, only if you would use any camber shims you would need to upgrade your spindle to longer bolts. We've just went with the slightly larger SAE bolts once we've decided to add the shims.

By the way attached are the blueprints for these brackets. The files were created with eMachineShop CAD, there is one file for Festiva which I hope is the correct one, and a couple of different version for Aspire - to be honest I simply do not remember which one was best. Maybe it would help someone.

The OD and width should have been the same for the Festy and Capri inner. You should be able to put the disc on the drum spindrle using the Festivas inner bearing and seal because the OD are the same for the inners between Festiva and Capri. (Provided I got the correct part numbers).

Went to the junk yard and did alot of investigating on this rear disc swap... so the shaft is about 1/8 shorter when you put the disc on to the festiva spindle, but i noticed the festiva bearing is also .110 thousandths skinnier so thats almost 1/8" so that should be ok... other thing i noticed is the rear bearing seal wont work either so you would also need a sleeve for the rear bearing seal. the backing plate for the dust cover/caliper mount will have to be redrilled for the festiva spindle bolt pattern and the back of the plate has some high spots that need ground down. also need to get the capri e-brake cable to use on the festiva and either get the underneath cable to body mounts or fab some, but the cable mounts to the lever exactly the same as the festiva so thats easy. All in all its not to hard of a swap, biggest thing you need is the sleeve for the outer bearing and the sleeve for the inner bearing seal. I am about 99% sure im gonna go ahead and do this because i got all my parts for the front disc swap and would like to have the center bore of the rotors match so i can get the proper bushings so my wheels center perfectly on the hub. If i swap only the front discs then i have a center bore of 59.44 on the front and 33.16 on the rear.... Thats a huge difference

Festiva outer is PN LM11749/LM11710 cone/cup
    Festiva inner is PN L44649/L44610

    Capri outer is PN LM11949/LM11910
    Capri inner is PN L45449/L45410

You need the ID of the Festiva bearings and the OD of the Capri bearings, which are as follows [in bold]

    FI - 1.0625 ID | 1.9800 OD | .560 W
    FO - 0.6875 ID | 1.5700 OD | .545 W

    CI - 1.1417 ID | 1.9800 OD | .560 W
    CO - 0.7500 ID | 1.7810 OD | .655 W

Custom inner - 1.0625 ID 1.9800 OD .560 W [Oh look, You just use the OE inner bearing.]
Custom outer - 0.6875 ID 1.7810 OD .655 W [Either width will work, but you typically use the width of the part that holds the outer race.]

The widths don't make too awful much difference. Barring a match that works perfectly, find whatever matches the ID and OD of the bearings you need and go with whatever width is available, using spacers for smaller widths.

The custom outer size you'd need doesn't exist, so just use the Capri bearings and a bush sleeve. You need about a 30 thousandths bush on the Festiva stub for the Capri bearing to ride properly on it.

There's a company in the UK that makes custom bearing sizes also... might try calling them, likely be about $45 per bearing though.

"On the picture base capri outer bearing is on the left and aspire outer bearing on the right."

I do not want to be a dick, but you should simply open autozone.com and you will be able to get part numbers for both capri and festiva both inner and outer bearings.

http://www.timken.com/en-us/products...tion_Guide.pdf there is this huge document but I was unable to find the info on these "a-1" and "a-4" in it

Ok if i can find the numbers on the inner and outer sizes needed i can talk to whistler bearing. I had to replace a bearing on a washing machine once and the manufacturer wanted something like 130.00 bucks for a whole kit... i just took the bearing down to whistler, guy took it and walked back with the new bearing... 30.00 bucks later i was out the door.

It would be really great if you would figure out what bearing would make them work together! As for sizes, I am pretty sure you can google these using the festiva and capri bearing part numbers

Im asking because at our junk yard here in colorado springs there is a capri n/a and a capri turbo, so im gonna swap the front brakes but wanted to do the rear disc also.

    Re: my rear disc brakes

So read what is going on here:

We found a rear stub shaft doner for a disc setup. Just need to put hands on parts to get it rolling.
