The white car rides drastically better than the red one, even at a utilitarian pace, and feels much safer in every circumstance. They both have the same tires.

Oh and I lied about the car being completely stock. I have a sweet truckstop vinyl steering wheel wrap. Adds 10hp!
You know, I never could find that same thread again??? Here's a set of Federals, less than $400 for all 4. Shipped. This is an eBay link, so it won't stick around.

A the behest of Charlie, i will attest to the ride quality of Tweak. I was given the rare privilege to personaly pilot Tweek while down in NC. Asside from a steep learning curve on the clutch (elevated seat position and non-stock clutch assembly makes for an odd pedal feel out of the box), the power curve was very stock like, only more of it. the 'round town driving was easy, effortless, and smooth even with the heavier spring rate and shocks. bumps were no more or less jarring than in my 93 sport with 165/60/14s and stock suspention. Turn-in though was as sharp as Scrappy, even with the 20mm smaller contact patch (Tweak was running 165/45/15s). while we were in 'mexico' traveling at "elevated" speeds, there was no hint of speed or lightness in the steering that would indicate that one should slow down. it felt no different at 100+ than it did at 40.

                  Thanks
Those o.z. wheels are 15x6 (the ones on my red car, I spray painted them white they were silver). They also are a stock festiva bolt pattern. I strongly suggest switching to studs.
165 45 15 tires don't really stretch on 6" wheels because they have a tread width of 6" already so they actually fit perfectly.

Keep an eye out for nissan wheels, primarily those for the 200sx and 240sx and sentra because some of those are 4x4.5" and 15x6. I have also seen 15x6 wheels with 4x4.5" lug on infinity g20.

here are some 240sx wheels on ebay for a good price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-1994-Ni...6ef0d4&vxp=mtr
Also keep an eye out for 1999-2002 honda accord 5 spoke alloy wheels. They are 4x4.5" and are a nice wheel and can be purchased really cheap at times. Keep your eye on craigslist in your area.

Stud conversion is easy. You'll need 16 1.5" to 1.75" studs in M12x1.5mm. Buy a small tube of blue loc-tite from the auto store. I suggest buying a tap from Ace in the same M12x1.5mm so that you can make sure the new studs go all the way in. If you have a question about taps, just PM me. Squeeze one or two drops of loc-tite on the ends of the studs and use an allen key to insert the studs after you've cleaned the holes.

Here are a couple things to consider:

                        1. Spacers. If you use the Festiva suspension, the rear wheels almost always need 1/4" spacers to clear the spring mounts. Buy those at the wheel shop if the price is right (I paid $6/ea). Make sure that you've thought about this when you buy studs. You want 1.75" to 2" in this case, with thoughts to #2.

                        2. Wheel design. If your wheels have covers that hide the lugs, you'll want to accommodate for that by buying lug nuts that will let the stud pass through the nut entirely to keep a low profile. If you have any questions there, take the wheel you want to mount with you. Also, there are different 'seats'. This is where the lug nuts secure inside the wheel. The two most popular are conical and spherical. Mixing or using improper nuts can be a big problem![

Since the 165 45 15" tires are actually smaller (o.d.) than the stock 12" tires you don't need spacers for the o.z. wheels to clear anything IIRC, but I used 1/4" spacers for aesthetics. The lancer o.z. wheels are very high offset ( like 46mm iirc) so without spacers the cars stance looks funny. Ideally 5/16 (8mm) spacers would be perfect, or a 38mm offset 15x6 wheel (Miata BBS RX is this spec and a beautiful wheel).
