Any other input before I decide to pull the trigger on some rims? The thing I was noticing in the past was that the 17"+ rims were cheap compared to the 15"- rims for some strange reason. Of course now, they're ALL expensive.

Was hoping to get a dual pattern 4x114 / 4x100 for a possible future Aspire swap.

Larry, look into the MB Wheels Five X. Dual pattern, and less than $100 each for the 15" at Discount tire. Shouldn't be much more for larger sizes.

Whatever the percentage speed differential at 55MPH get tires with a circumference with the same percentage differential as the current ones.

Larry, My silver 90, which I bought new, was always 5mph fast at 60 mph with 155-80-12 tires. This was regardless of how, when, or where I checked it.
With 185-60-14's it's 2 mph slow via gps at 60mph. It now has 314,000+ miles on it. I can't wait to check my blue 93 with 195-50-15's.

Well, it may be for naught. For some reason, the wife's car is using a lot of oil. It doesn't leak it, but the plugs look okay. Went thru two quarts in 2-3 weeks? May be doing a motor swap and if I get the Aspire from Festful, I may leave the 5-speed on the motor and get rid of the automatic on her car as well.

These are the wheels I am looking at for my festiva. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-New-14X6-4...-/190668420327

As long as the rim hub bore is not a problem looks like we can both be golden for a good price.

Well, I'm looking at stepping up to a 16" or 17" possibly. There are several for sale locally with tires, I could conceivably test run them to make sure they worked, both with getting the speedo closer to correct as well as clearance from bottoming out, turning, rubbing, etc.

These are a decent price, 23.5" tall, would cause speedo to read 4.4 mph slower..
