I'm located in Greensboro but I frequent Salisbury and Durham to visit my parents. As far as scary sloppy it is to me no idea what a festiva is supposed to be like but my truck suspension isn't great but seems like a Cadillac in comparison.
I am in Kannapolis but I am in china grove all the time. Hit me up sometime 704-794-2041

I live in Archdale a mile off of hwy 85 on hwy 62. I can't be more than 20-30 minutes from you. Feel free to hit me up as well. I just got a lot of parts to do an Aspire swap. You might find it interesting. Send me a PM with your info and we can get up sometime.
Also, don't forget madness on October 5th in Raleigh. You can learn A LOT in just a day talking with all the people there!
88L - Awaiting bigger and better things
92L - Dead and needs love - was DD
91 - Shell with title
92GL - receiving B8 Swap and will be DD
Sweet! You'll need a small 1/2" adapter/extension added to the end of the threaded booster rod to make it work properly, but let me know if it gives you trouble and I can knock one out quickly and ship it to you.
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem
Since my car is aqua that is great it will already be color matched.
Also any tips on a good quiet exhaust that won't negatively affect the mpg? The PO owner gutted the exhaust and its loud and sounds awful. I don't want an aftermarket sound just something that is clean and quiet.
There will be a convoy of 7-10 festivas leaving my house in Kannapolis on the sept 4th around 7pm for madness this year, you are more than welcome to join us its gonna' be a blast nthego:
The only reason to go to the aspire sway bar up front is if you are doing the entire swap and you plan on doing a lot of towing. It really doesn't help handling at all. The energy suspension bushings on the sway bar are a nice upgrade. Doing the entire aspire or Rio swap is a nice thing. Pretty easy if you know your way around the suspension pretty well. You don't even HAVE to have the aspire rear beam in the rear with the sway bar, if you can get someone to machine a 114.3 pattern into some rear drums for you.
Easy way to diagnose LCA's and Tie rod ends is to jack up both front tires, put on stands. Grab the top and bottom of the tire, shake. If there is looseness, play, then the LCA is bad. You can watch this play happen as you shake. Grab the sides of the tire, and shake. If you have play, look behind the tire, and try to spot the play, it will be in the tie rod or the tie rod end. Possibly, maybe both. You will know it when you see it.
The bushings that connect the sway bar to the LCA's and also in front to the frame should be in good condition. Bad alignment can cause some truly weird feelings in the wheel at highway speeds.
Once all is right, even bone stock, 90 isn't really an issue, even on the 12's. 13's really improve the ride. `14's should be great if you keep them from being too tall.
Read the stickies at the top of this section. There is a list of wheels with sizes and patterns, and the Advanced suspension mods one is an eye opener. There is also a wheel size comparison tool that will help you judge the right size 13 or 14 tire to buy.

Whoooooooops! Yep. Thanks Jerry! You are very correct sir! LOL!
I was mid typing this afternoon, when the cable company came out to bury our new line, and cut me off. So, I came home tonight from work, and tried to finish my thoughts and got all jumbled!
