I have the auto transmission in my BP swap festiva. I'm wanting to put my 14 inch rims on it but it needs new bushings and such up front so figured I start looking into swapping it for something better. My question is does the Rio spindles use the stock cv axles for the stock transmission? If not what axles work or is there a better swap to use in my case.

The late 2002-2005 KIA Rio brakes might not clear some 14" wheels. The earlier Rio brakes will clear. Ford Aspire brakes clear 13" wheels with no problems and work great, but Aspires are getting harder to find at scrap yards. Your stock axles should work on any of these setups, but you'll need the correct outer tie rod ends for them Escort GT tie rod ends seem to be the most commonly used choice.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. My 14" enkei clear my mid 02 rio brakes but its damn close. Actually i have scrap marks on one rim that i guess flexed at some point in time and hit the caliper. If you get the big rio brakes make sure to test fit your rims 1st.1990 (LUCIFER 2.0) fully built BP+T with E153, Fueltech FT500, traction control with hopes of 600hp (i drank to much of the KOOL-AID)

I was thinking early 2000s rio. The aspires here are obsolete you never see them. It's going be difficult find a rio but I just figure it be easier than the aspire1990 Red Festiva STOCK "pregnant roller skate"

Use car-part.com as a search in your area. That'll probably save a bunch of running around aimlessly trying to locate the parts.
