  • Cant keep it on the road PROBLEM FIXED!!!!!!!!

    I can not keep the car on the road feels like something is loose. But everything is tight. when it comes up on boost it is from one side to another and when I let off its all over the place. Is it the open diff with big drag radials on grabbing one side to the other throwing it Around??? I know I could make an awesome pass if I can get it to drive rite. It kinda feels like its spinning even up through 3rd gear. Plus I am getting spike but think I know my problem. Ill keep you posted onit and take any sugestions.

    Someone else had this very same problem .. same thing.. all over the road on and off the throttle .

    I will see if I can find something .

      Thanks, I have replaced new controlarm/balljoint,inner and outer tie rods and had it allighned today. This thing feels nuts, a bit laggy but well worth the wait.

          Thanks for the link,I am under the impresion he lost controll cause it was wet and not allighned? I hope o get this sorted out maybe a caster/camber issue

              i too have this problem. when i push the gas the wheel yanks to the right, way too much to be torque steer.

              over a year now, replaced every part in the suspension, still cant figure it out.
              1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!

              T3/T4 Turbo Power! G5MR and BP since '04!

                Glad someone else has the prob(not in a bad way). Mine yanks both ways,it goes till that wheel kicks out and yanks back the other. I put a run in down the road and it was rough but I kept it strait. It spins all the way throw 3rd gear with the drag radials. I need some tractor weights on the front Hope to get the studs tacked in and make it to the track tommorow.

                  my car is the same all new control arms tie rod and sway bar bushing i can probably spin the tires in all 4 gears as soon as boost hits the tires break and its a fighting match to keep it straight. i think it is because the front end has no weight (cars to light) and the suspension is just not made for what where trying to do. i am happy with my swap i dont know why people need to build the b6t if you just get the car too hook im sure you can run low 12s. but someone needs to think of a good suspension set up i was thinking of taking the car to a local chassis shop and see what they could come up with.

                    Got it fixed I think I am only running 18psi in the front rims.
                    I will post picks of the fix and you will never believe what it is.

                        I took cut the knurl off some 3" arp F body studs, used the HIGH strengh loctite and tig the back of them into the hub and vola no more probs, and some sex appeal I feel so much better driveing it and my car drives 90 times better. Looking at the one hole that stipped out they was only in 3 threads. I think with our aftermarket rims out stock studs are not near long enough. I plan to do this to the rear also.
