The main benefit you recieve from having a traction bar is it doesn't allow the lower control arm to travel backwards when launching, instead it keeps it stiff and forward which essentialy eliminates wheel hop when teamed with some nice solid/ semi-solid mounts.

You could probably accomplish a lot of that with stiffer "sway bar" bushings - both the pivots and the ones in the control arms.

once i finish my turbo build/tune this will be my next project since traction is going to be my #1 enemy as many of you smaller b6t guys already know

i do have a few ideas and depending on how they pan out i may make a guide on how to do a simple DIY traction bar kit for our cars since our simplistic suspension design was NEVER meant to even handle double the HP not to mention triple or quadrouple....
