After all that stereo work we ended up with a dud amp so I had to buy a new one. It isn't exactly the same size so I will need to build a new lid for the amp and battery but thats no big deal...

I have also decided to go with the lx seats for now because I really needed to get the car on the road driving and such, the Spec-V seats will need some major mods before they are ready so I am going to try to get the seat mechanisms switched over from a set of junk seats I have lying around.

And finally I was able to get my electric popper for the rear hatch installed. I used some existing wires that were there and installed a pully system and so far so good.

its a popper from a spal door popper kit off ebay, same ones i used for my doors... all i did was used a pully i found in my garage from an old tent trailer, and used existing holes in the hatch, mounted the pully and then i used the existing rod for the opening mech. and hooked the cable to the end of it with 2 nuts. I then routed the cable around the pully and to the popper which then creates a pulling down motion thus opening the hatch. It will all hide behind the hatch cover thing too.... as for the wiring I just found the wires in the front drivers side harness that matched the ones in the rear that were free and used that to run the power to the popper.

I believe they are out of a 91 vw gti... they are like a 7 inch round headlight... The buckets are just mounted to the rad support with sheet metal screws, spacers, and nuts on the back side. They are an H4 bulb I believe... I am ordering a set of HID's for it this year.. hopefully a fiberglass hood from FMS if I can swing it too...

                          • Well not to much has changed... I got the spec v seats reinstalled which sure makes the ride more comfortable... And I put on a fiberglass hood.... otherwise I am gonna pull the motor out this spring and clean up the wiring finally (I hope anyways), some new skins, got a fender that needs to be replaced or flared, and dreaming really big I may look at an air bag set up for the rear suspension.
