In Oct -Dec 1969 Datsun made an early run of 500 240 Z for the US market. While they were at it they made a small run of Fairladys Z for the Japan market. This is one of them, serial number 00144. Last time I checked its the oldest fairlady in the US ( according to the Datsun z regestry)

What was realy nice is since it was first sold in Nov 1969 it somehow got regestered as a 1969 Model on the title ! Only regesterd "1969 Fairlady Z" I know of.

Heres how I found it, its needs a complete restoration but the car is complete and original
      Looks VALUABLE!

hey a friend of mine has a 72 fairlady z right hand drive. right now its torn down getting restored, pretty cool little cars. before it was torn down for resto we used to mess with the local idiots that had never seen a right hand drive car. the speedo registered something like 240 or 260. so we used to mess with them and tell them it would do 240 mph not kmh. was great when we took them for rides. nice find.

Noice ! Before I got into the SHOs I was a Z man. Had 7 of em over the years. My last one was an '83 turbo that put down 308hp to the ground.

Lemmeeknow if you ever want to sell it !

Hey I'll cry all the way past you... Modded B6 SOHC or not. I have yet to see a timeslip from a NA BP that is a 14.5 let alone a B6 SOHC.. If you can show me then I will retract my statement.

This time around it's going to be a 75 shot on a BP... Shooting for 215whp. Maybe a mid 13? -Kyle

Still waiting on shims and underdrive pulley / balancer

I talked to the guy about the shims today. This engine uses motorcycle shims and with everyone putting bikes back on the road ( gas prices) they are in shortage. He said my order should go out tomorrow ,I hope !

Anyyway intake is getting last bit of work ( porting) and will be painted tonight. Installed the rear axles/ hubs. Need to go pic up brake shoes tomorrow and start running brake lines.

I go on vacation in a couple weeks and want to get as much finished as possible, example get it back inside the garage!!! It been hogging up my trailer too long.
