  • no, you cannot just add resistance. Tachs are frequency meters, or 'event counters'. Basically, the interface adapter outputs two pulses for every three it sees.

    • Get a msd box. you cut the little red wire so it outputs correct signal for a 6cyl, then hook up a tach adapter inline to the stock tach so it works. I have a MSD 6AL BTM and a tach adapter so my factory tach works.

      • Page 4- Cylinder Select. You might want a MSD box anyway down the road so this will do it for ya.

                    • well i've found an antifreeze leak unfortunatly, and just as i had feared the water outlet i had to replace, is leaking, and this is how far i have to tear the engine apart just to fix the leak



                      so in other words, i'll be pulling the engine this weekend :angry4::angry4::angry4:

                        • Is there anything else you should replace while you have it out and apart? Cam/ crank seals, water pump etc?
