My KLZE Festiva Build Thread

  • There's plenty of adjustment for the clutch, which is why the adjuster is at the end of the cable, i made it with the clutch lever as far in as it would go so it can only move to give slack in the cable, so it should be fine

    here's a couple more pics i just took, i unbolted it so i can paint it and it drying now

            • Holy smokes my old Festiva has a V6 in it now! We definitely have to meet up so you can take me for a spin in it!

              Looking through your pictures brings back a lot of memories. I hope you're having as much fun with the car as I had!

                • I almost had the ZE home today, but just as i got done work and was going to jump on the forklift to grab the engine and load it up, a truck pulled in needing to be unloaded so i should have it home tomorrow and i'll be working on the final mount over the weekend

                  • sweet! This is the most exciting/sweet build since when I followed some of the original v6 mk1/mk2 mr2 builds 5 or six yrs ago!!! (I love v6 in little cars)

                      • It even has Zerk fitting(s)! Good engineering.

                        Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

                              • Welll i ended up having to work 4 hours late and by the time i got done the back door was blocked so yet again i couldn't the fork lift out the back door to load the engine in my car to bring it home

                                You are correct, the slave cylinder mounts on the engine side of the fork, i have a junk slave cylinder that i can put in place and take a pic to show where it mounts
