      ^ You got me there.. No damage to the cylinder head either which is why I thought the previous owner must have swapped heads. I don't know wierd...

        Update!

        The "New" engine is in! and everything is hooked up and ready to go Just waiting on my dad to get home with new fluids to put in it. Should be starting it up tonight hopefully! Will post up pics later tonight or tomorrow.
        -93' L BP swap/e-series, coilovers, RIO front swap, redrilled festy drums, Miata 14" 7 spokes.
        -88' Mazda 323 SE, work in progress..
        -85' Nissan Sentra 5 spd.

              lol, used the swingset chain to hook the chain hoist onto, worked out great! Borrowed the chain hoist from a neighbor The tree wasn't much higher than the top of that picture.

                  My solution since I quit using a block and tackle, what ever works !! Mines mobile , thats a big plus anyway.

                      She's ALIVE again!

                      Fired up on the 1st try! Sounds great! Just have a few bugs to work out, but it'll be back on the road soon!
