The metric system is much better IMO. 1,2,3,4,5,etc.
SAE= 1/8th,1/4,1/2,9/32's, etc....everybody knows from school that fractions suk-Greg

But sticking up for Americans, How we all would normally call a drag strip "1/4 mile" what would it be if it was metric :shock: wouldnt have the same ring to it :lol:

I'll be honest here. Using measurements in construction and carpentry, I consider SAE the way to go, down to the 64th if necessary. For instance, say you're dividing measurements. It's far easier when half of 3/8 is 3/16, and quarter of it is 3/32. Now, metric. Half of 7mm is 3.5mm, and quarter is 1.75mm. I'm sure most disagree with me here, but I'm sticking with my preference here. btw, I'm handy at math, so that may be another factor. :pOriginally posted by eurotiva View PostThe metric system is much better IMO. 1,2,3,4,5,etc.
