  • Having just spent over an hour reading this thread, I'm not thoroughly intrigued and excited for a finished product. Awesome job, as a nerd I have to appreciate good wire routing (having had the same problem plague my computer)

    I applaud you good sir.

      • UPDATE!!!

after trying to figgure out my power door locks for 2 days i gave up... ill do them later when i have more time... i just left the wires hanging under the dash....

remember WAY back before i started riping out the wiring i said i wanted to clean up the wires under the dash? got that all done it looks messy in the pics but that cause i didnt wrap them in tape like the factory... so it looks like there is a ton of wires but there is less in here than from the factory

and where the computer sits now...

and a sight for sore eyes after about a year the dash is finaly back in

        a little more done...

and thats where i stoped for tonight, ill be back at it tomorrow

        stay tuned...

        • Still looks like a lot of wires to me! But I've never taken a dash off before.

          • when you take apart the factory harness its even worse than what you see under my dash cause its all wraped up in tape.... its all in one big bundle and looks "nice"... i have taken out all the stuff that runs the motor and moved it to the passengers side of the car... if i spent the time and wraped it up with tape it would look just as good or better than factory, but i dont feel like doing that cause no one will ever see it... if i catch anyone looking under my dash at a meet, they will be in for a wooping... :p

                  • UPDATE!!!

                    BIG UPDATE!!!!!!

TOOK IT FOR THE FIRST DRIVE WITH THE NEW STANDALONE ECU!!!!! it was only up and down the drive way but still, it drove under its own power it still dosnt run perfect but it runs good for just a base map ment to just start the motor lol... my wideband has taken a dump so im gonna get a new one with all the new goodies in it so as soon as i get that ill be putting this thing on the street and tuning it only a few things left like wiring the rest of the radio and a few wires for gauges, then a good wash lol... (it has a years worth of sasquatch shop dust all over it, and a bunch of junk and dirt on the carpet...)

got a new intake from the junkyard, paid 20 bucks and it came with a very clean K&N filter with it (still not done under the hood, lots of little things to fix and make look good...)

allmost got the inside of it back together... (very dirty, i know...)

                    ecu behind the glove box...

see all the dust... not good lol...

                    best web site EVER!!!!

and a vid of how much better it runs now RC 550's and a base map FTW
finaly got most of the problems worked out in my ecu so i can drive the car on the street and tune it better :)

                    more to come, stay tuned...
