I can't remember seeing another festiva with coil-on-plugs, you maybe the first one!! i'm hoping to run coil-on-plugs on my V6 once i switch to a standalone
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Mine has been fine, 11 months and counting... Just don't buy any ebay "stainless" exhaust parts, like this wastegate elbow that broke 4 times.Originally posted by sasquatch View Postthe wastegate!!! im gonna pick it up tomorrow... its a ebay one (i know they suck... its only 30 bucks so thats better than 250 for a good new one... and when it breaks ill get a propler one
Then. (note the extra bracing and thick welds by me on the wg elbow. that thin metal is junk.)

Now. And it survived getting smacked by the rad support pretty hard.

bling bling

to make sure i can still put the cams in the right spot to put it all synchronized i chopped the bottom off the backing plate so i can slip it on and bolt it on without having to take the gears off

then when im done i just lift it out
also made an adjusting tool...

i bet not many people have seen this... wires on a dist plug that are UN-cracked!!!! lol...

i also took off my timing belt covers and chopped them up.... i made it so only the bottom 3 inches of it is left so i can set the timing...

if everything goes as planned it should be running on monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im gonna miss the last race of the season so ill have to wait till next year for it to open again... (greg, no coments about your track thats open all year, it makes me sad
lol...) but next year ill be back with a vengeance and ready to take on those big bad hondas
more to come...
stay tuned

i forgot to post pics of my engine bay after all the wiring got done...
here is an overall shot...

here is the main harness going in to the engine bay...

and this is the only spot where you can see alot of wires... cant see that many can you 8)

and i just got some new parts today
my old fuel rail somehow rusted out from the inside
so when fuel pressure was applied it sprayed everywhere
but that will be fixed with this

looks So much better than the factory one

and the inside bore is way way WAY bigger than factor
so all the injectors will get the same pressure and it will be able to flow ALOT of fuel
now my fuel lines will be AN fittings and be super nice looking and be easy to disconect
the light is shining thru the 3 injector port from the camera... its about a 1/2 inch bore i think...
