  • sasquatch's bp swap thread

this thread is starting out where this one left off... http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...=25972&page=15

how far i am along with this swap...

the motor is in and all that needs to be done is put on a gtx intake manifold to give better clearance between the fire wall and it... then wire it and finish some other little things, then i should be ripping up the streets of langley lol...

should i worry about this? when i was checking some stuff over i took off the injectors to clean them up and get the oil/dirt off of them... i looked inside them and saw all this rust in the screen, i took a tiny flat head screw driver and got all this junk out of them... do you think they are still ok?

the old batt tray was looking bad and the tie down hook was busted the parts car had a nice one

the gtx intake should fit nice... they say its 8.5 inches so i may need to stick some spacers in the front of the tranny support or dent the fire wall....

    shot of the bling

and last... i couldnt figgure out why all the mesurements i was getting off the computer sounded so small... now i know why... i dont know how i missed this one lol...

more pics and info to come

g5mr out of a 323 gt... ooo and i dont know if anyone knows this (they probably all know this lol...) if you take the sensor out of the stock festiva trans and put them in the "g" trans then you dont have to cut and splice wires... it should work, but seeing as i havnt driven the car yet i dont know for sure... im hoping they work...

the header is the factory manifold off of the 95 escort gt motor... the dual windshild washer bottles are for when i go turbo... im gonna put water/meth injection on it so i can run more boost and timinig and get more power but to keep it on the down-low i plan on using that bottle and not the one in the kit, everyone will know then... im even gonna hide the pump down in the bumper/fender... its all about the stelth

I would mod the front sway bar bushing's like this thread shows, and get rid of those brackets and put the stock ones back on, Read what B6T said in that thread..

No doubt ?? Guess I wasted my money on this then, other than the stainless steel bling factor.

Don't get too too far towards the driverside like I did when I swapped the bp into my second car. I couldn't get the lower ball joint into the hub since i had the cv joints on the driverside compressed as far as they would go. I ended up using an aspire lca to space it out so it worked, but had axle popping out on the pass side. I remember you said you had to clearance the driverside rail for the b6, which is unnecessary
