Going to buy this Festiva in about an hour, it's in pretty rough shape, but it should be fun to work on. Here's the pics the guy sent me, I'll post some more when I get it.

1988 Festiva L, 150k Miles, 4 speed, he cut the rear half of the roof off and it's removable now, not sure how that's gonna go when I get it inspected, rear windshield is plexiglass, and rear hatch is cut in half, so hoping to buy TONYCASH's rear hatch. Only real body damage that I can tell is on the passenger door and the rear part of the roof that comes off. Interior pretty much sucks, but hoping to fix that up pretty nicely. Planning to strip the paint off and attempt the $50 rustoleum paintjob over the next couple weeks, so I'll keep the thread updated with pics.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, getting it for $250, think that's a fair price?

Its a start, good luck on the first buy.:thumbright: Personnally, I think that might be a little high with the rear like that, but other than that the car looks ok, I bought a red 89 just like that for $40, and it ran.

I'd be worried about the car breaking in half.

I think it's to high for what they did to it.

Yea.. 250 is too much for something that's been brutalized like that...

I'd pay.. MAYBE $100 if the engine is good.

Since it's already cut, It's a prime candidate for a pick up conversion.

                    $250 isn't too bad.

I saw one for sale a couple of years ago, converted to a tiny pickup- he had it painted bright green and called it kermits revenge. I would imagine that conversion must have started with a cut like that.

Got it and drove it home, I love it. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. I'm not quite sure what I'm gonna do about the fact that it's cut in half, haha. Probably gonna replace the rear hatch with a non-chopped in half one and see where I go from there. Pick up conversion is a definite possibility. Also, my dad found this picture online, showed it to me, then we realized it is my exact car haha.

                          Another Idea. A convertible top.

First, I'd stick a roll bar in it.

X2 with braces back to the rear strut towers and a nice rag top like Tracker etc.

Yeah I'm sure you could make a ragtop just like a Tracker, That would be cool, and an easy solution for a fix.
