Started off today running 80 miles to get the capri hubs. Was up there for a while because they thought they already had them pulled, and didnt.
They had four capris, three were xr2's. One was identical to mine. There was an auto festy as well, pretty well gutted. Nasty looking auto tranny sitting in the back.
They wanted $350 for the trans, $500 for a capri engine, and $400 for a capri trans.... lol. They had a decent looking EGT there too, I would imagine similar prices for that stuff.
Anyway, took my knuckles (yep they gave me the whole knuckle minus caliper). Down to my machine shop and had a mix of good parts from my capri and the junkyard parts put together. Paid $60 for the pair of knuckles and $30 to have it put together. One big thing done.
My dad and I finally got the rear trans mount done. Its the capri mount all the way. Cut the top part off the rubber mount, the part with the stud sticking up. Then cut the little part off the bracket and its welded to the rubber mount. I'll try to get some pics of it before all is done. Hopefully we can get the front mount figured out soon so I can put the trans and engine back together with my new clutch...
