even though you are being bombarded with questions id like to add:

how much did you shave off the b3 head? did you shave as much as possible?

...and did it affect the cam timing much?

I degreed the cam as installed with stock timing marks, all i'll say is it's far from accurate! for my setup I wanted 104 degree centerline , which advances the cam. I tigged the dowel pin hole shutand redrilled the pin hole in an advanced position. I did this after i finished and installed the head , so any retard it would have caused would be acounted for.

what i think will make my results most impressive is the relitive simplicity of all , making swap pointless other than to say you did it. I'm running a tired 178,000 mile short block thats never been out of the car, custom upper intake w/ ported stock lower, mildly ported head w/ larger valves , stock cam installed advanced, long tube header w/1.75 exhaust w/ small 1.5 inlet - outlet muffler with only 28 degrees of total timing! I think this will prove well designed/ matched components can really wake these engines. what my combination really wants now is more cam profile.
