    • i bet you making a jump to a 2 inch (or even a 2.25 if you want to get crazy lol...) mandral bent exhaust would give you a fair bit of power more... your smart, you should know you can only push so much air thru a pipe before it becomes a restrictor.... and i bet the sound would be alot better too, i know that a 2.25 inch on a N/A bp sounds very nice with the right mufflers... i bet with the turbo at the end it would sound amazing that 1.5 inch crush bent wrinkle wall pipe is killing you...

I agree and how much could a full exhaust be on a festy its barely 10ft long with like 2 bends!

        • wow that's flying!

Pipe size on the rear turbo could be critical. One must keep velocity up to keep turbo speed up. You might lose some velocity going to a larger diameter ex pipe.

          Great time slip Greg!

              • I've seen a few cars make 500 hp thru a single 2.5 inch pipe. I think i could benefit from some larger (maybe 2 inch) , but wouldn't want much bigger than that. I think I can 300 hp using the stock festy exhaust*...lol

In my case it better to run smaller for the "velocity"

                * I want to do this to prove some points.

i think as soon as you hit 12's (which i imagine will be before spring time lol) you will have prooved a good point on how well rear turbo's work

                            • I still can't believe you're running a stock exhaust. Are you sure it isn't one of the replacement systems? They seem to be slightly bigger than stock.

I'm pretty sure mine was factory and it was like 1 3/4" OD tops. The muffler outlet was smaller, 1 1/2" outside.

Yeah mine is bone stock. It was a Tennessee car till I moved here. It even has the resonator below the shifter.

I think it would be cool to run in the 12's with stock size exhaust and a/c.

                                But I'm about to have a different project. (not a festy)(and has a t-bird t-coupe drivetrain)
