Here are a few shots of the turbo going in...
Also modified the water tube to give more room for the turbo. Welded the slip joint while I was at it.
Its hard to see in this pic, but the charge tube goes thru between the tranny and the tranny brace.
Intercooler mounted with holes thru the bumper to allow air to get in.
Intercooler to bonnet mockup.
And the last shot for now, looking up at the waste gate.
Next is the exhaust system...

What about that comment about "worrying about clearance under the bonnent for the carb"
I would think a guy with your metal fab skills actually lives for an excuse like that to cut that hood up! Man I wish you were in my neighborhood, I would kill for some fresh rockers/skirts for my rusty SE-R like you stuck on this car. You on a roll now, can't wait to see the rest...
