7.9cr is useable for race only and at 25+ psi of boost, and even then, it's not a fun engine. i'd stick with a 9:1 minimum to keep throtle response and off boost power. it makes the engine much easier to live with.

I think the 7.9 is much too low on these motors.

I guess I migt drop them a line and see what they can do.

On a plus note, that's a very sharp looking build. Hit a dyno yet?
when the motor was in the mazda donor i had the guy had it dyno'ed it had 180hp and like 170 lbs torque, i put the srt4 intercooler on, made a better intake and exhaust and up'ed the boost a bit so i think im sitting around 200hp, hoping to get a dyno day soon

and the car is gonna be black and yellow

ALRIGHT UPDATE TIME, been really busy lately i got a new job painting yachts and i have been working alot of OT,

For those of you that dont know i am a painter and body man by trade and i am ashamed of the blue door and fender on my festiva, it does add to the sleeper status though, so spring is here and i will be stripping the door and fender and painting my car, not gonna give away the color yet, but it is gonna stay yellow

FIXED the missing problem on my car, went colder plugs and it fixed the problem, i also won my first race in my festiva last night, went down to the local drag spot on lower river road, bunch of subaru kids hanging out down there, i raced this wrx, i missed 2nd and still killed him, then none of his buddies wanted to race me.

lower river road is a street racing legend in vancouver, ill post a link of the crazy shiz that goes on down there

Fuel pump is losing voltage and pressure drops . Mine did the same thing ,if you run more then a half a tank of gas you will find it doesn't cut nearly as bad or at all ... try running a relay to the pump with a strong feed and use your normal pump wires as a trigger for the relay ...
    Just a guess ..

Here is the Latest update on my festiva project
    MORE PROBLEMS!!!!!
so here is the low down, lately my car has been cutting out/sputtering almost like its missing when i accelerate hard and when im under boost. i thought i might have been leaning out so i richened my fuel mix a bit and same problem,
i have new, oem motorcraft sparkplugs, fairly new plug wires, new cap and rotor and an msd blaster ss coil. i was fouling plugs like crazy so i went back to the oem ones i think they might be part of the problem.
the car has just started doing this recently when i first had the car running i wasnt having any problems like this. im posting a couple videos so maybe you guys can help.
it happens at the very end of the first video, its like a rapid sputtering
and in the second video its like the car is missing all through 3rd gear its kinda hard to hear though.
hope you guys can help me out Thanks in Advance
