Ummmmmmmm.... According to what you just posted start Sig is blk/rd. ( I think that's what it says can't see real well on my phone) Those are blk wires that I spliced into not blk/rd. I've had to do this on 2 wiring harnesses and they've both ran fine.

No go on the ground issue you supplied. It has to be distributor/ecm related. Has to be...

Do xr2's have coil pick-up. crank position sensor within the dizzy?

Never the less I'll figure it out. All my wire splicing is right. A matter of hunting down the part the failed.

Switched the dizzy from one from Greg and the main harness relay. I'm showing proper voltage to the positive side of the coil, and good resistance too.

The festivas have a ICM 90-93 located beside the stock coil. I have a plug similar on the back side of the intake manifold...

I never had the distributor seperated from the egine when i purchased it. So i turned the engine to TDC on cyl 1 and it lines up with the rotor and cap on cyl one.

So my question is: Where can i find i am getting signal to the coil from the ecm plugs, or where can i find the Igintion control module on the xr2 harness.

                    thanks -Wes

Hey Wes can you take pictures of all your grounds or list them so maybe we can help. It's something simple I'm sure.

Pulled my injectors out to see if they were clogged. Fuel pressure regulators shows to open and return fuel @ 37-40psi. I got a little crap out of them and the rail but nothing major. Re-installed and still no start, not even with starting fluid.

I get an occational compression "burp" sound like you would get if all the spark plugs were not installed and you were checking compression on one cylinder.

I get fire to all of the plugs...

But i am still missing the overboost sensor, and another 3 wire sensor on the firewall.
I have only tried one ecm, one VAF, and two distributors.

I'll try and get some shots of my ground connections today if possible.

You don't need the overboost sensor if you have a rocketchip. Not sure on the other 3 pin you speak of. Pic of the plug?
